General Formulations GF 242 OptiMark™ Cast - 2.0 Mil Gloss Optically Clear UV Laminate

  • Optically Clear for Perforated Graphics – Ensures crystal-clear visibility through window graphics.
  • UV, Moisture & Scratch Protection – Extends graphic longevity and prevents fading.
  • Perfect for Vehicle & Storefront Window Graphics – Specifically designed to laminate perforated vinyl films.
  • High-Gloss Finish for Vibrant Colors – Enhances clarity and sharpness without distortion.
  • Cold Lamination Recommended – Easy to apply without heat.

Can GF 242 be used on all vehicle graphics?

Yes! While it is ideal for perforated graphics, its optically clear finish also enhances vehicle wraps when paired with films like GF 230, GF 246, & GF 333.

Can I use other GF laminates on perforated window graphics?

No. GF 242 is the only recommended laminate for perforated graphics on vehicles or storefront windows, as optical clarity is crucial for visibility.

Why do I see streaks or patterns after applying GF 242 to my perforated graphics?

This is normal and occurs when the softer cast laminate settles into the perforations.

To reduce this effect:

  • Use a soft-edged squeegee and apply less pressure during installation.
  • Allow a few days for the laminate to settle and clear up naturally.
  • Applying low heat can help relax the material for a smoother finish.
